Ludvic is both a painter and sculptor who is known for the diversity of works he creates. From large and small abstract paintings, commanding portraits, still life food paintings, Western paintings, and steel sculptures made from scrap metal and old American tools, his work has been featured in numerous museums and galleries nationally and internationally.

Born in the Sudan and raised in Cairo, Ludvic has his BA in Architecture, from Cairo University. He continued his studies in Europe, receiving his masters degree from Basel School of Art in Switzerland. While in Europe, he apprenticed with notable artists such as Karel Appel, Bram Bogart, and Marino Marini, met Picasso, and designed textiles at Yves St. Laurent. He moved to NYC in the 1970's where he worked at Warhol's "Factory" and did illustration work. Moving to Canada in the late 1970's, had opened a graphic design firm and continued to exhibit his paintings. In the 1980's he moved back to New York City where he began working on larger canvases. He paints and sculpts daily by continuously challenging himself by working, as the artist explains, "...beyond the realm of the possible, to embrace the new."
